Lupe Fiasco Lights Up The Stage

This is for you music lovers out there. Since 1968, Milwaukie has been hosting the Summerfest (aka “The Big Gig”), which currently holds the title of being the "The World's Largest Music Festival" according to the Guinness World Records. The festival attracts close to 1 million devotees a year and takes place over 11 days on 11 stages with performances from over 700 bands along the lakefront of Lake Michigan.

This year the festival will take place from June 29 until July 10, noon until midnight daily, with the exception of July 4. Current headliners include Toby Keith (July 1) and Katy Perry (July 7) with more performers to come as details are finalized.

Tickets can be purchased for as low as $5 on weekdays between noon to 4 PM. Otherwise, it costs only $33 for a three day general admission. For more details, you can visit Summerfest’s official website.
